SPINOSAD

Product Description:
Spinosad is a new class of biological insecticide. It is derived from fermentation of Saccharopolyspora spinosa. Spinosad has been shown to be highly active on insects in both agriculture and horticulture, and also in greenhouses, golf courses, gardens, and around homes.
 
Characteristics:
1. Unique insecticidal mechanism: It alters the function of nicotinic and GABA-gated ion channels, in a manner consistent with the observed neuronal excitation. However, spinosad does not interact with known binding sites for other nicotinic or GABAergic insecticides.
2. Broad spectrum: Lepidoptera, Diptera, Hymenoptera, Thysanoptera, and a few Coleoptera.
